Visionary tone-poems for piano by William Grant Still, and Frédéric Chopin’s first published Nocturnes (among his most beloved) open tonight’s concert, as we welcome pianist Andrew Armstrong back to Halifax. We’ll then hear some ebullient early Beethoven, and Dvořák’s heartfelt and innovative tribute to his native Bohemia.
